Day One: Friday, April 25th 2008
I leave home with Michelle at 7 in the morning, it takes around 2 hours to get to Palm Springs, and where we are staying is in this huge house belonging to my mom's friend. Then we have lunch and we're off, for 12 hours of music. When we get to Empire Polo Field we find that is extremely hot and Michelle and I rush off to see DJ Mehdi, Rouge Wave, Sebastian, Busy P who gave out fucking Ed Rec. Vol. 3 t-shirts! (sadly, I didn't catch one), Architecture in Helsinki, Vampire Weekend, and Diplo. After about 10 bottles of water and dancing our hearts out we decided to call it a night and miss Spank Rock, and Jack Johnson.
Day Two: Saturday, April 26th 2008
We wake up a little late, so I jump out of bed and we go to Vons where they have thee best sandwiches. Today seems extra hot when I spend most of it in the Sahara Tent featuring, Uffie, Kavinsky, Boyz Noize, Erol Alkman, Hot Chip, and M.I.A. We tried to get into MGMT but it was packed. At M.I.A. I split up with Michelle, and find Carver, Nicole, Zoey, and Jack. The crowd was super pushy so we ended up being cut off from each other, while Carver and I try to survive so that we can hear Paper Planes. Afterwards fresh air was like heaven! Then I met up with Zoey and Anthony to see Yelle, front and center!!! Some photographer took some pictures of us, I can't seem to find his website or anything =(. Following Yelle was Prince and I just chilled with Carver, Nicole, Casey, Anthony, and Jack.
I missed Sunday, and I wanted to see Chromeo, Kid Sister, and Justice. =(
After this experience of sweat and nonstopdance I'm up for anything!
